MX-5 Miata Restorations
At Eunos Custom Automotive, we were aware 20+ years ago that the first generation Mazda MX-5 Miata (Eunos roadster elsewhere in the world) was to be a “Modern Classic”. In our opinion, a vehicle needs to be intrinsically “good” for this to be the case, and the 1st generation NA Miata is one of, if not the best in that regard. To that end, along with maintenance, modification, and general upkeep of the cars, we have always offered full restoration services for the Mazda MX-5 Miata. These cars are quite likely the only mass produced vehicles made in many years that lend themselves to this sort of restoration, in the way that the classics from the past have. Most modern vehicles simply do not lend themselves to this treatment; the NA Miata MX-5 does. We have always offered ground up full mechanical and cosmetic restoration services(interior and exterior), and have completed many over the years. As long time owners of many Mazda makes and models, our extreme in depth knowledge and many years of experience specializing in the Miata allows us to provide this service and produce the best possible result. We can taylor the car to the owners exact specifications, from entirely original condition, to any modifications desired including aux inputs, bluetooth, and other modern driver aids. In many ways, this is a far better investment than buying a new “equivalent” vehicle, which in simple terms, cannot be done.
Lately, we have noted an increased interest in the media, specifically restoration of the NA first generation Miata, and that Mazda in Japan is starting to offer this service. This shows we were indeed somewhat “visionary” here, except, we knew it all along! We also offer this specialized service for the second generation NB Miata, as well as the first, second and third generation(FB, FC, and FD) Mazda RX-7. Other vehicles are accommodated as well.
